Hi loves! My name is Bahiyyah aka 'The Scratch-pert', and I am the CEO of Bahiyyah Skincare. Growing up, I've always had an interest in skin. Skin is our largest organ and I've always been drawn to its complexities and textures. I spent countless hours watching YouTube videos on abscesses, boils and acne, before jumping into the 'Skin World'. I always knew that one day I’d be the doctor performing those procedures. I began frequently volunteering at dermatology centers just to be hands on with doctors and soak up as much experience and information as possible. I eventually decided to take my dreams seriously by enrolling in college and majoring in biology. Being a Doctor is no small feat, so I decided to become an esthetician while I pursued a degree in biology.
Maybe a year after attending Jean Madeline Beauty School where I studied to be an Esthetician, my eczema flared up terribly. My skin reached the worst stage that I’ve ever experienced, and I was miserable and suffering. I felt like my eczema was controlling me. Eventually, I decided to take matters into my own hands and use my resources at work to help clear up my skin. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much success with the dermatologists there, and while back at square one, I decided to create my own products. I became my own guinea pig until I found a solution that actually worked! Unbeknownst to me, that solution would become a brand known as 'Bahiyyah Skincare', and the rest is history.
